Tempest Winter glove for small hands

For the 2016 winter, our Tempest glove is designed for riders who want deep winter protection, without the bulk of insulation layers. The glove is designed around a Hi-Tex polyurethane membrane that provides the waterproofing and wind barrier. A secondary internal glove is a compact, flat woven fibre to provide insulation. With a thin leather palm, the rider retains full feel and control of the bars. Suitable for both road and Mountainbiking when the snow is on the ground.

The palm is goat skin with silicone printing on both the palms and the fingers that gives you a decent amount of grip to prevent hands slipping on wet bar tape or levers.

The back of the hand is a mix of Leather and Windster outer. The cuff has an ergonomic cut, extended for draft protection, lightly padded if riding on the hoods is your thing.

Out for 48 miles this morning, constant rain for the whole 48 miles, strong gusting winds. The gloves were absolutely saturated inside and out, completely waterlogged, but somehow they kept my hands warm. Extremely well made glove, great fit, good feel of the brake levers. Excellent glove, just needs more work on the waterproofing.

I am very impressed with these gloves.Since I bought them I have been out in cold, wind, and rain, even had hail the gloves have been superb and I have stayed warm and dry.Only once have they been a bit clammy and that was because the temperature rose to over 10 c .Sizing was a bit of a thing for me as I am in between Large and Xtra large.I went for X Large and pleased I did as they fit like a glove 🙂 I was going to try and get the Barrier glove when XL becomes available but I think these might just see me through winter,as not planning to go out below -3 and I am sure these will cope with that.Oh and for the price you cant go wrong. Now to try the Colombiere Jacket

I’ve been wearing these now for about 6 weeks and am very impressed. Have had them out in temperatures down to 4 degrees (according to garmin) and hands remain comfortable. I’ve also had them on in torrential rain, granted my hands did get wet (no glove would keep hands dry due to rain running down arms) they remained warm and wind chill kept out. Dexterity remains good – I can still use buttons on cycle computer and get food from pockets. Overall very impressive glove and would recommend.

Worn in one degree temperature in sleet and rain. After 1 mile worryingly fingertips felt cold, after another mile fingers and hands were toasty warm. After 2 hours in sleet, rain and 1 degree temperatures hands were dry and toasty warm. When I go out to ride I know my hands will be lovely and warm whatever the weather. A great pair of gloves for cold weather riding, a must buy

I’ve been riding around Shanghai as low as minus six degrees with icy winds and these gloves have been great. The gloves don’t let any wind through, and the tips of the fingers were kept warm even on the coldest days. 5/5.

Very good pair of gloves which really saved me this winter in Denmark where I have been out cycling in -4 degrees C. I was unsure at first as the fit was a little too snug, however this has relaxed ever so slightly and now fits perfectly. Not too bulky like other winter gloves and easy to shift gears with. I haven’t had a chance to try them out in a substantial downpour yet but the membrane has worked a charm at keeping the wind out. The only problem I have found is that my hands can get too warm and sweaty which makes the inside of the glove wet. The sweat often hasn’t dried out by the time I put them back on for the next days ride, but I have started to turn them inside out to dry off quicker. To avoid this I tend to wear them when it is below +5 degrees C.
